Lưu Quang Trung is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Vietnam. He is also affiliated with the Laboratory of Signals and Systems (L2S) at CentraleSupélec, Paris-Saclay University, France.
Dr. Lưu obtained his Ph.D. from CentraleSupélec – Université Paris-Saclay, France, in 2022. His doctoral research was conducted in collaboration with Nokia Bell Labs France under the CIFRE Ph.D. program supported by the French government (ANRT). His thesis received the 2022 Best PhD Dissertation Award on Distributed Systems and Networks from the French research community (GDR RSD) and ACM SIGOPS France.
Prior to his current positions, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Avignon and LAAS-CNRS, Toulouse, France (2021–2023), and served as a lecturer (assistant professor) at HUST (2023–2025). He is also an APNIC Professional Fellow, actively contributing to regional initiatives in Internet development and resilience.
He actively contributes to the research community as a reviewer for leading international journals and as a reviewer and TPC member for major conferences in networking, computer science, and telecommunications. Since 2026, he has been serving as co-coordinator of the Industry Communities within the IEEE ComSoc Next-Generation Networking and Internet Technical Committee (NGNI-TC).
